Treatment

Treatment: film trailer
Working title:
We think as a base for the title we have decided on “Bloody Hell”. Throughout the production of our trailer we may decide on a different title so this title may not be the final title of the trailer.
Format:
This may be shot on 3 types of cameras. There is the dv300 and the Sony A1E, but one of us in our group owns a Nikon d5000, which can record video. It isn’t a full HD camera but records at 720p, which is fairly good quality for this project. The program that we will be using to edit this trailer is Final Cut Pro.
Estimated duration:
We are aiming for this trailer to be a minimum of 1 minute long and a maximum of 3 minutes long.
Intended audience:
This trailer is aimed at people who enjoy horror films.
Synopsis:
A murder in a house. Years later, two kids go into this house and they are haunted from the start. As they try to leave they are locked in mysteriously, and have no way of escaping. Shortly after, one of these kids is killed.
Style:
Comical horror.
Rationale:
This trailer has the conventions of horror in this trailer that many horror films have, for example, most horror films are set at night, in an isolated location.
Feasibility:
We can use the darkroom at college for a certain par of the trailer, with a house with some stairs leading downwards into a basement/dark area.
Budget:
We do not have a set budget for this project.
Deadline:

Wednesday 29 September 2010

Wrong Turn Trailer

Wrong Turn is a film produced in 2003, set in the woods of west virginia. It is set in The woods of west virginia because its an isolated, scary place, which is a great place for this film to be set.
It Starts at a fast editing pace with short shots e.g. closes ups, panning shots of people running away from the Red necks and long shots of the scenery (west virginia woods), and then slows down in the middle when the dramatic atmosphere kicks in and then speeds up for the closing scenes for a dramatic finish.
Also throughout the trailer you get Tag lines in between the scenes which set the scene.
